Orit Fuchs / vivid 194, 2025
Acrylic on canvas. 43"/51" This work reflects a state of cultivated presence. It suggests a woman who is fully aware of the space she occupies, yet is untouched by its demands. There is a quiet deliberateness here, a consciousness of self that is not shaped by the gaze of others, but by her own inner measure. Within the Vivid series, this piece explores the idea of elegance as a form of agency. Elegance here is not about appearance, but about rhythm, timing, and choice. It is the capacity to take one’s time, to hold one’s ground, to move from intention rather than reaction. Vivid 194 invites the viewer to consider the difference between being looked at and being seen. It suggests that true presence is not created for an audience. It emerges from within, from a deep sense of alignment with one’s own voice, pace and truth. Here, poise is not decoration. It is identity in motion.
