Journeyman Distillery Whiskey Last Feather Rye

Vivid virgin oak. Planks, a little resin. Raspberry, Turkish apple tea, vanilla and green banana. Some drops of water make it as woody as a pallet factory, which I personally don't mind but might put some off. A little peach as well then. Spicy but sweet. Lavender (have I ever mentioned this in tasting notes before?), apple, pepper, vanilla, raspberry and banana. A bit creamier with water, and also here a little peach. Vanilla, apple, caramel, banana and raspberry. None of those mouldy notes that often remain in the finish of ryes, more like the finish of a first fill bourbon barrel aged malt.
