This wine is considered the "della Tradizione" bottling, although it doesn't say so explicitly on the bottle. Instead, the Marchesi di Barolo 2016 Barolo Tradizione is noted for its retro label design that does indeed evoke local Barolo traditions. Made with classic lines, the wine pours forth with a mid-weight approach and vivid ruby highlights. The bouquet is loose and broad, with less focus compared to the others in this group. There is some green astringency as well. Given the excellence of the vintage, I would expect more from this wine. A whopping 130,000 bottles were produced."
