Vignamaggio Chianti Classico Riserva Gherardino 2013

The wine presents a rather intense red color, a particularly fruity aroma with notes of small red fruits like blackberry and raspberry, and a smooth full flavor. The name of our Classico par excellence, is dedicated to the Gherardini family, who built Vignamaggio in XIV century. This wine is produced from 80-90% Sangiovese and 10-20% Merlot. After the harvest and vinification phases, it is aged in 15-20hl oak barrels for about 16-20 months and finally in bottles for at least three months.
