Peacock Mokkou Earrings - White
SERIES_01 Porcelain Ceramic | Imariyaki, Saga Prefecture Porcelain jewelry designed in collaboration with Hata Manto-en, a kiln in Imari, Saga Prefecture, Japan. The motif of SERIES_01 is a play on the ambiguous boundary between the plate and the jewelry by incorporating the shape of the rim into the design, such as a Kikyo plate, a Kikou plate, and a hexagonal plate. The series features edgy forms with a Japanese taste that evokes a sense of nostalgia, and is a beautiful combination of ceramics and metal. <01 Painted Peacock Earrings The design is HiN's original painted peacock. A characteristic of Imariyaki (Nabeshima ware) is that underglaze painting is done in indigo, and after firing, overglaze painting is done in three colors: red, yellow, and green. This peacock motif is finished in colors typical of Nabeshima ware. ▪︎ The actual size may vary slightly from the size shown due to the individual differences in the porcelain. ▪︎ Since each piece is made by hand by craftsmen,
