Hand-built icy gray, blue, matte white, midnight, and umber large folded flower bowl on stoneware. The design is created when the glazes melt into an irregular pattern in the kiln - making it truly one-of-a-kind.  Messier 49 is the brightest galaxy in the Virgo Cluster. It is an elliptical galaxy with a visual magnitude of 9.4, about 55.9 million light-years distant. It was discovered by Charles Messier in February 1771. M49 contains about 5900 globular clusters, 10 billion years old on average. The perfect six-sided statement vessel for decor. Donuts for scale.  Matte glazes should not have prolonged contact with typically staining foods. Visit FAQ for care instructions. Ceramic dimensions approximately 5.5" H x 10" W. Shipping is only available via UPS or local studio pickup.
