The Kawai K-18E is a great example of a reasonably-priced console piano. At 44" it is taller than most and has a nice clear tone and responsive action. This K18 was built in Japan in 2005, not Indonesia like all of the current crop. It features a beautiful ebony polish cabinet and bench with nary a mark on it. The Kawai K-18E piano was the precursor to the current generation Kawai K-200 (which sells for $8,395) and shares most of its construction and sound designs.
