PRISM is a contemporary Gray base Akhnif style flat-weave Moroccan rug with Chadoui/Zanafi details. It is almost impossible to imagine, but this rug is Hand-made from 100% hand-spun wool and 100% natural dyes. The detail and perfection of its craftsmanship is truly mind blowing (which is why we've included so many detail photos). Extremely durable this rug will last many lifetimes over. Great for high traffic areas - the most durable natural rug you will find! Ahknif style rugs are made in the Taznahkt region of Morocco's middle Atlas mountains. The very detailed "Ahknif" weaving style which gets its name from traditional capes made with the same intricate work. They are also often mixed with a braiding weaving technique called Chadoui or Zanafi. This area of Morocco is one of the few places where traditional dying processes using plants and tree nuts, and also hand-spinning wool are still in use.
