Intricately-woven bamboo lidded backpack. The weaver used two different gauges of split bamboo with one-over-three construction. Rattan braces and bindings along with carefully sized shoulder straps complete the piece. This vintage backpack retains a natural buff and brown patina and is perfect for a basket or purse collection. It would also complement a variety of interiors from Boho, Rustic to Modern Farmhouse.  Place of Origin: Bontoc, Luzon, Philippines Date of Manufacture: 1950s-1960s Condition: Good Wear: Consistent with age and use.
