From start to finish, this rug was made completely by hand: Handspun, hand-dipped in natural dyes, and woven on a traditional wooden loom. Traditional weavers do not work from a pattern as do weavers in commercial workshops. Each piece is imagined and carefully planned by the weaver, making each rug a piece of art and a reflection of the woman who crafted it.
