Shade from an enormous oak tree, cool green grass underfoot, flowers blooming. It’s gorgeous alongside the eponymous front porch of Front Porch Farm. A welcome talk from our hosts, Mimi and Peter Buckley, will be followed by a guided mosey through plots of vegetables and flowers that ends at the table. Set on an elevated bench on the Russian River, our streamside supper site suggests swimming, canoeing, and SUPing. Guests might be tempted to splash in the lazy flow, but free-flowing wine and a sumptuous feast by the chefs from Quail & Condor and Troubadour will compete with the stream. Stiff competition: before launching their new endeavors, Melissa was a baker, and Sean was executive sous chef at Healdsburg’s Michelin-starred Single Thread.
