Designed by Sara Meredith Limited Edition of 100 for 7”x12” This is a reproduction of the hand-painted woodcut Land Ethic. This piece was made in response to reading Aldo Leopold’s A Sand County Almanac and refers to his concept of Land Ethic. “The land ethic simply enlarges the boundaries of the community to include soils, waters, plants, and animals, or collectively: the land.” “…a land ethic changes the role of Homo sapiens from conqueror of the land-community to plain member and citizen of it. It implies respect for his fellow-members, and also respect for the community as such.” The print on Somerset Velvet paper measures 7”x12” This listing doesn't include a matte or a frame.  Each print is signed and editioned. Print has a backer board and a protective sleeve.
