“Midnight Cosmos” is created from steel, paint and patina. Resists and paints are applied to the metal and allowed to dry. Patinas are applied next and allowed to work their magic in the voided paint areas. Each piece is then finished with a satin sheen and waxed. This piece in constructed in a way to give a floating appearance. My spontaneous travels through the southwest desert where the city lights are non-existent inspire these dark, cosmic atmospherey pieces. 24" x 24" x 1/2"
