All oyster shells used have been made by mother nature in the coastal waters of North Carolina.  The shells are then hand-picked, usually after the oysters have been eaten by us and our friends, carefully scrubbed clean and left in the sun to completely dry and disinfect.  This leaves the shells with no odor.
