Ruger Knife by CRKT R1206 Crack-Shot Compact Inspired by the Ruger American Rifle, the Crack-Shot Compact is designed by Ken Steigerwalt. Featuring the Outburst assisted-opening and Fire Safe blade safety, each knife is built to be reliable and efficient. The assisted opening rockets out the blade for quick deployment while the safety ensures the blade is always locked when you want it. The 3.5" blade is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel and features a stonewashed finish. About the Designer Ever since he was a kid, if Ken needed a knife, he just made one. His first knife was built from a saw blade at the kitchen table using a vise, files and sandpaper. Needless to say, he's gone on to create more highly-designed knives that have won 11 BLADE Show Awards in seven consecutive years, including two Best Folder awards and one award for Best Folder of the Year. He also co-designed the patented Fire Safe safety innovation, which is used on many CRKT knives.
