The Mekong Delta Flow

Image: This limited edition fine art photo of boats in the Mekong Delta in southern Vietnam is part of Matthew's series of Flows, and it was shot in one morning in Vietnam in 1997.    From Matt on this Flow #0: "I shot this before my Hoi An Flow (which I think of as my first Flow), making this a pre-Flow Flow. So I guess this is Flow #0.  I shot it a week before the Hoi An Flow, when the idea of staying in one place and shooting the day as it flowed past first solidified into a concept in my mind.  At the point when this Mekong Delta Flow was shot, the idea was clearly already marinating in my subconscious, and it only occurred to me later, after the Hoi An Flow, that I'd already shot a Flow in the Mekong Delta a week prior.  So technically, this is the first Flow, but as it wasn't fully a Flow in my mind when I shot it, I think of this as Flow 0, rather than Flow 1.  Of course, no one other than me (and perhaps my mom) probably cares about which Flow is Flow #0 or Flow #1, but ther
