Musha 66" Hand Forged Odachi

From the Musha Collection comes this intricately hand forged “Musashi” Odachi. Full tang 1045 high carbon steel makes this a resilient katana that is razor sharp right out of the box. He is a unique swordsman that utilizes double bladed swordsmanship. Not only was he a great swordsman, Musashi was also a philosopher and a writer. In his final years he authored “The Book of Five Rings” Which dealt with his practical martial arts and its significance. An ōdachi (large/great sword) was a type of traditionally made Japanese sword used by the samurai class of feudal Japan. In terms of practicality, the Odachi has two main uses.
