Huge Prickly Pear Cactus

  Commonly known as the Beavertail Cactus, or the Paddle Cactus, this spiky, slow-growing plant is native to rocky areas of America. With its round, deep green, flat leaves, this bushy, succulent shrub is sure to bring a desert feel to your space! Lighting This plant originates from the desert, so naturally they would need some sort of sunlight. Keep it - minimum- indirect bright light. Watering Think of a desert, you probably imagine cracking soils right? Mimic that with this plant, it tolerates a lot of drought but at the same time cannot stand too much water (wet feet is a bad feeling)  Water once every month or so for a prickly pear this size. Water only when half of the soil is very very dry.
