French Revolution Legal Decrees

The bulletin des lois were a series of French publications beginning in 1792 meant to communicate the actions of the revolutionary government to the provinces. These interesting pieces of government propaganda record the rapid changes from the Terror  to the rise of Napoleon and beyond. The last issue circulated in 1931.  The length of each issue varies from a singular page to 67. Each available issue is shown in the image gallery.  Size: 8" x 5"
