French manuscript dated to the reign of King Louis XIV of France based on the royal postal stamp at the top. The stamp features the ubiquitous symbol of the "Sun King" as Louis XIV was sometimes known. In the early lines of the document, "du moie de juillet mil sept cent d'en" may refer to the year 1701.
