'He Hath Made Every Thing Beautiful In His Time' Print
A detailed print of my original painting titled ‘He Hath Made Every Thing Beautiful In His Time’. In this painting, Christ puts a woman back together using Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"). This Japanese pottery technique has completely changed how I view my difficulties, my trials, my sins, my mistakes, my mental health. It has also heavily influenced a lot of my artwork. When pottery is fixed with Kintsugi, it is considered far more valuable than it was before. I love to think of my relationship with Christ in this way. When I offer up my broken pieces to Him and ask for His help, He is able to make all of those broken things beautiful. I know that because of Him, we are never broken beyond repair. I know that Christ makes all things beautiful in His time. I know He can heal us. It may not make sense now, but I know that one day it will. How grateful I am for His healing power, His grace, and His tender care. The title and thought behind this piece were inspired by Ecclesiastes 3:11
