'He Is There In The Joy' Print

A detailed print of my original painting titled 'He Is There In The Joy'. The fifth ‘word of the year’ painting. This one is for the word ‘joy’. I was pleasantly surprised to see how many people chose this word for their 2024 ‘word of the year’. Because I have struggled so much throughout my life with my mental health, a lot of my paintings address struggle, healing, and finding solace in the Savior. Painting is how I work through my emotions, so I am often painting during a difficult trial or hard period of my life. My paintings help me get through my hard times, and in turn I hope that they help others through their hard times. However, because of this, I don’t have a ton of paintings about joy. This was a super unique opportunity, and a challenge for me to figure out how to depict joy.  I though about the times I feel the most peace and joy. It has been when I am out in nature, eyes closed, breathing in the clean air, taking a break from anything that burdens me. I imagined myself
