'He Is With Me In My Winters' 5x7 original painting

An original painting sized 5x7 inches titled 'He Is With Me In My Winters'.  This painting depicts Christ walking in a winter landscape.  I had several people tell me they need a ‘winter’ Jesus for Christmas time. I thought that was an amazing idea for several reasons. I feel like I typically depict Christ in flowers/springtime, and I feel like we don't typically see Him portrayed in settings like this.  I also think that depicting him in winter is beautifully symbolic. It really got me thinking about what that means to me, and this image came to me so clearly! For my whole life, winter has been hard for me. It is full of endings, seasonal depression, loss of light, cold weather, and anxiety about what is to come next. In addition to experiencing physical winters throughout our lives, I think we all experience symbolic ‘winters’ in our lives. Periods of difficulty, darkness, loneliness, endings, sadness, change. The one person I hold to in my winters, is Christ. He remains constant. I
