'He Remembers All The Fathers' Print

A detailed print of my original painting titled ‘He Remembers All The Fathers’. A special painting for Father's Day. I know that Christ remembers ALL the fathers. The expecting fathers, the grieving fathers, the hopeful fathers, the fathers in the thick of parenting, the grandfathers, the adoptive fathers, the single fathers, the fathers in heaven, the step fathers, the stand-in fathers, the waiting fathers, the foster fathers, the biological fathers. In this painting, Christ stands with and comforts many different types of fathers. The men and Christ are all connected by Kintsugi (金継ぎ, "golden joinery"). This is a Japanese pottery technique where broken pottery is put back together with a gold lacquer. This technique has become a huge part of my life and my work, and I felt like it needed to be incorporated into this painting. To me Kintsugi is a reminder that Christ is able to heal and make something incredibly beautiful out of what I think is shattered.  I know that Christ perfectly
