Abstract Painting on Paper: STILL

This series of eight small 5 x 7 paintings are matted to fit perfectly in an 8 x 10 frame. Each is painted in mixed media on heavyweight archival watercolor paper.  With the frenzy of the holidays, I wanted to focus on a serene and peaceful feeling.  ‘Peaceful Holiday’ is a collection of abstracted landscapes on small canvases as well as some work on paper.  The colors are muted and feel calm to me. However, I added some deep greens and pops of color to keep them interesting. I layered oil pastels, oil sticks, and charcoal over the paint. 6" x 9" on heavyweight archival watercolor paper and finished with a matte spray varnish. Matted to 5 x 7 to fit in 8 x 10 frames. Packaged in a clear bag for protection.
