Double Dotting Speech Egg ~ A Speech Therapy Art Activity
I created these art activity pages for speech therapy to keep students engaged. Double Dotting Speech is unique because I incorporated two “dotting” tasks for this activity. First connect the dots and then dot the pictures! It is great for groups because the other students will have plenty to work on (coloring, connecting the dots, dotting) while you work with the other students. I have my students color the eggs in between turns (optional). Designed for an elementary caseload (some pages can be used with middle schoolers depending on skill and interest level). I have found that incorporating art into speech sessions can be a great way to encourage carry over skills. When kids make something it creates the “look what I made” mentality which increases the likelihood they will show a caregiver or teacher later.
