First practice, then make thumbprint a piñata! Materials Needed: Ink pad or paint (multi-color recommended), thumbprint pages, and wet wipes. You could also dot the students' fingers with a bingo dotter if you don't have an ink pad. (Tip: Use wet wipes to wipe thumbs between turns). Optional Assembly: Place them in a sheet protector or laminate to use with play dough. To use: The student will practice the target word and then make a thumbprint over the oval on the piñata. The student will place their thumb on an ink pad and then stamp it over an articulation word. The therapist will determine the number or trials per word. I have the students color the rest of the picture in between turns or when they are finished. Variations: Use play dough to smash to make piñata. Use bingo chips to place over the piñata.
