Polar bears are the world's largest land predator and posterchild of global climate change. They spend most of their lives on sea ice and are hence marine mammals. The ongoing loss of sea ice due to the changing global climate threatens their habitat. For this reason, polar bears are classified as vulnerable on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. Artist Statement "Polar Bears are facing many forms of danger, but one of the biggest threats they face is oil. Due to oil exploration in the Arctic, the Polar Bear population is declining. As oil and gas reserves in the south dry up, it is becoming mor
