The transparent celluloid suspending the nacre chips can turn dark yellow or brown with exposure to UV. This pen has been cared for properly. It is personalized Sylvia Kaplan. There are tiny spots of plating wear on the clip ball, band and lever. But, not widespread plating loss or wear. The grip section has a circumferential scratch - it is not a crack.
