1948 Persian blue Sheaffer Sovereign Vacuum-Fil
Like new Persian blue Sheaffer Sovereign from 1948. 1948 is the first year for Persian blue Sheaffer pens. It is the final year of Sheaffer Vacuum-Fil pens. This pen is a convergence of two remarkable Sheaffer features. The pen is in like new condition. The inner barrel has no staining. There were only a few odd drops of ink to hint that perhaps it had been filled once to check out proper function. The plastic, trim and nib are flawless. The nib is probably a medium though it compares well to a modern, western fine. It has a slight stubbiness that offers a bit of line variation. It is wet, smooth & firm though not completely rigid as the Triumphs of the same era. I have large hands and grip pens high on the threads between the grip section and barrel. I have no trouble using this pen uncapped. The cap does post securely to extend the length to satisfy those who prefer a longer pen.
