Overcoming Current Barriers For many LGBTQ+ students, a college campus is a safe haven — a place they have longed to get to — where they can explore their identity, sometimes while still hiding it from their families. COVID-19 has presented so many challenges for students, and LGBTQ+ students are among the most vulnerable. Many have lost the only community they had.
