Taiwan Taichung SL34 Natural

Cherry and pomelo notes continue into the full bodied cup   Background info Taiwan is a country famous for tea production, but in recent year's it has become renowned for another crop: Coffee! Many of the younger generations from Tea farming families in the area have begun to plant coffee over the last 2 decades. Taiwan has now had 2 cup of excellence competitions and 2 varieties have dominated the top 10. Geisha/Gesha and SL34. SL34 is one of the primary varieties of Kenya along with SL28, Selected by Scott Laboratories. Genetically related to some populations in Yemen and Eastern Ethiopia, it is a tall tree that produces large beans of exceptional quality. This lot of coffee was processed by Beanborn Coffee mill from growers in Taichung, in central Taiwan around 600m  altitude. The coffee is a natural process inoculated with wine yeast.
