Astrophytum asterias 'Kikko' Form | Japanese Cultivar
Astrophytum asterias is a beautiful little round cactus with cute polka dots. Looks like a sea urchin or pin cushion! These are specially selected cultivars from Japan. "Kikko' in Japanese refers to "hexagon shaped armour plates used in the construction of Japanese armor worn by samurai." The hexagon shaped areoles of these special cultivars live up to their namesake; they are extruded, enlarged, and grow outward with age giving it a dramatic look. 4" pots, shipped bare root.
