I’m a firm believer that creating art helps process grief and channel emotions. And this piece is no exception. A few months prior to this, the artist lost a good friend from high school after she was murdered by her husband. And the shards of hand-painted paper at the bottom represent how a senseless act of violence can shatter beautiful lives.
