18” x 16” Acrylic, gouache, oil stick, and prisma on canvas.   Texas bluebonnets. They come every single year. You know exactly what they look like. If you have a golden retriever, you have probably taken their picture in the bluebonnets. All of this doesn't change the fact that there is nothing quite like a field of them right off the highway. They take your breathe away. This piece is meant to encompass that feeling across all things - the first bite of your favorite dish at your favorite restaurant, when you pass by that house you have always loved, when a song comes on and you know all of the words - the feeling of really knowing something and still being excited by it.   Text Reads: and despite how familiar you  are  I am  perpetually enchanted
