The Adrian Bookshelf
Take a look at the perfect bookshelf for the serious reader who wants to make their collection a focal point of any space, whether it be a living room, dining room, bedroom or home office. With 1.5"-thick solid wood supporting your books, these shelves will never bend, bow or twist under the weight of even the most prolific bookworm's stockpile. We meticulously hand-sand the shelves and finish them with a matte varnish or hard-wax oil for added durability and protection. We braced The Adrian with four pieces of 2" flat-bar steel at each end, and brace them with solid cylinder rods for further stability and support. You can choose whether you'd like the rods in an "X" configuration or a single diagonal rod on either side. Just let us know in the Order Notes section on the Cart page. Beyond its primary purpose as a shelving unit, The Adrian works great as an open storage and display area for a variety of collections. Musicians, for instance, can use this area to keep instruments and all the accompanying electronics. Other sorts of rock hounds can present their most dazzling minerals on the top shelf while their prized geological tools are displayed on the bottom. A better question is “what can’t you keep here?” To which we would suggest, not much!
