Not an uncommon variety, but a fast growing and stunning favorite from heartless philodendron family, Micans has deep emerald velvety leaves with a copper hue about them. Native to the Caribbean islands of Dominica and Tobago, Micans adjusts extremely well to household conditions and even lower light spots. However, don’t rush into placing this plant in a new bigger pot: philodendrons have delicate slow growing root systems and tend to shed leaves if their “feet” have too much room!
