Description This shiraz is a tribal rug with an atypical singular central medallion in place of the typical linear diamond design. As with all tribal rugs, the motifs featured in this rug were knotted from memory by the weaver, likely passed down by generations and learned as a child. The rug's wool-on-wool construction lends a highly flexible, soft, and supple feel to the rug—it could be wrapped around its owner like a blanket. Pattern, color variation, and signs of wear with vintage items is normal. We recommend using rug pads to extend the life of all Passerine rugs.
