Syncere (4x7)
Description Joshagan rugs come from the city of Joshagan in north-central Iran. The rugs are easy to identify, as they feature a consistent design: a blue central diamond medallion, corner spandrels, and border, offset by a predominantly red-toned rug background. These carpets typically features garden-inspired snowflake motifs, each one different than the next. Joshagans with particularly fine, tight weaves, as this one is, are called 'Memeh Joshagans' named for a neighboring city that also used this design. They are as durable as other city styles (Tabrizes, Dorokshes) and are excellent candidates for high traffic areas of the home. Customers can expect tightly knotted wool fields upon a cotton foundation, often featuring more delicate, often curvilinear patterns and a very short, shaved pile. This rug has been treated with an antique wash, softening its tones to appeal to the palette of any modern-day home. Pattern, color variation, and signs of wear with vintage items is normal. I
