Winter Wade
NEW! Custom framed original oil painting titled Winter Wade by Pat Cross. One early winter day, a trout fisherman wades into the cool waters to cast his line towards a pool that promises a lively catch. The sounds are muffled by the thick blanket of fresh snow with only the rippling of the waters heard on the stream. Pat Cross tells of how she felt compelled to paint this piece. “As a young teen, I recall watching my father wade into a mountain stream,” says Pat Cross. She explains, “He seemed more willing to endure the winter chill than the few week’s wait until a spring thaw.” This painting titled Winter Wade is mounted in a custom solid maple floater frame that is wired, ready to hang anywhere you want the reminder to rest in the quietness of solitude. One of a series of original oil paintings by Pat Cross on people engaging the outdoor environment.
