Introduction: Patek Philippe Early Art Deco watch made in 18K yellow gold, measuring 23 x 36mm with a silver dial with raised gold Breguet numerals.  The watch is fitted with a 9"90 18-jewel movement # 831931, case # 615361.  The watch is accompanied with  its original glass crystal, crown. The watch has not been polished and has the original finish to the case with a deep strong hallmarks.  The back of the watch has a monogram engraving of RHW.  The watch is further fitted with a navy blue small grain alligator strap. Essay:  This watch is quite rare because it's was made shortly after the Stern family purchased Patek Philippe in 1932.  The case was made by Baumgartner SA Key-2.  The case is hinged and was made to accept the new 9-90 rectangular movement that was introduced around that time.  This example is in exceptionally original condition.  It has not been polished or refinished.  The case has a hinge back which was typical of the early period.
