Singleton captures emotions and feelings from within and transfers them onto paper with ink. This piece was created based on a memory of his feelings while experiencing unrequited love and needing to mask those feelings. 28"x22" Abstract Ink on Paper - Framed   Reggie Singleton Singleton's major influences are Albert Durer, Al Loving, Elizabeth Catlett, andNorman Lewis. Reggie’s primary mediums were Inks and Acrylics until CharlesMcGee encouraged him to pursue Wood Sculpture in 2010. This medium hasbeen his primary focus from 2010 until now. Through his framed wood reliefs, Singleton developed a technique that combined sculpting and framing called “Surongajii”, ‘SOO-RON-GAA-JEE’. In 2017, this technique earned Singleton a permanent installation in WSU’s Bio-Engineering Building.
