Antique A.D. Williams Covered Nantucket Basket

Rare antique covered Nantucket basket attributed to A.D. Williams (1867-1927) circa 1900. Covered Nantucket baskets are some of the rarest examples and highly sought after by collectors. This one was made on an 11" diameter mold and has a wonderful proportion being half the height of other known examples. Features a turned lid knob, brass hinge & ears, and shaped swing handle. Great patina and overall condition. Measures 6-3/4" high (11-1/2" high with handle) by 11-1/2" diameter overall.
