Antique Scrimshaw Bodkin & Pipe Tamper

A very rare 19th C. scrimshaw whalebone pipe tamper with brass tamper end. Inserted, is a carved fist bodkin (to clean out the pipe). From an old Nantucket scrimshaw collection. Excellent condition with some wear and old age crack. Size: 4.5 inches closed, 3 inch bodkin. Note: this item is not available for international sale.
