Thai Princess Harem Crown Ring

This is a preloved 1940s vintage crown ring featuring a cluster of sparkling unheated rubies and sapphires in 18k yellow gold. Originating in Thailand, this beautiful tiered ring is designed to pay homage to the headpieces that Thai dancers wore during performances. Some are even designed to be miniature replicas of the crown that each Thai princess wore. Hence why they are known as both princess rings and harem rings.  In the 1940s-1960s, many princess rings were brought home from Thailand by US servicemen as gifts for their sweethearts.
