One of the founding fathers of the pecan industry, the Schley pecan has a heritage as rich and deep as the Georgia soil. The paper-thin shell of the Schley pecan is easily cracked by hand, and the kernel is plump and oily. All of our In-Shell Pecans are USDA Grade U.S. Extra Fancy. Please note that weather significantly affects our pecan crop. Oil content is directly related to moisture totals, so a drier fall season will lead to less oil in pecans. Pearson Farm guarantees that all of our in-shell pecans meet U.S. Extra Fancy standards as found in the U.S. Standards for Grades of Pecans in the Shell (Tolerances, §51.1406) put out by the USDA, and comply with international trade agreements.
