"Loss of Innocence" is a story of two resilient teenagers as they navigate through the tumultuous decades of the 1960's to the 1990's. Weeks before Lacey Noble is scheduled to begin her freshman year of high school, her mother suddenly announces that they will be leaving their home in New York City and moving to a distant relative's farmhouse in rural Maryland. She hopes to escape the painful reminders of happier times when her husband, Lacey's father, was still alive and they were a close family. Lacey is shocked and devastated by the prospect of leaving everyone and everything familiar behind.
