The impact resistance of Ash is rated as high. Ash is very light in color and the grain pattern looks very similar to oak. The cutting board is conditioned with food safe Citrus Oil and Beeswax prevent staining and drying out of the wood.Just like any other wood product, this item should not be left to sit/soak in water or put into
