Handbag Isabella Stewart Gardner Purple Velvet

In the vast fashion collection of the Peabody Essex Museum, there is a gown worn and donated by Isabella Stewart Gardner.  We collaborated with BoutiqueByMariam, a handbag textile maker, to recreate the gown's beadwork and embroidery on handbags and velvet boxes. The velvet was hand-dyed to match the original gown, and the beadwork and embroidery is a virtual reproduction.
