Mr. Nobody, part of Michael Lin's 2012 exhibition at PEM, is one of PEM's Chinese export porcelains, made in Jingdezhen in the 1690s. It's a European representation, inspired by an English earthenware figure, referencing the 1590s play Nobody and Somebody which satirized class inequality. As its name suggests, Mr. Nobody has no body. Iron on Patch 3.25" x 2"
